Description
The IXB-038 SAM head is a derivative of the standard head phantom used in SAR and OTA wireless tests, with the ‘flat’ stylised ear removed. The head is formed of resin strengthened with glass matting and meets physical and the loss tangent requirements of the standards
The IXB-038 has been designed to allow phantom ears made from material meeting the target body dielectric properties of the CTIA Over The Air Test Plan.
The IXB-038 can be supplied filled with a broadband head tissue simulant gel (650MHz- 6GHz) or supplied with a similar broad liquid should it be required to be emptied. For applications at fixed frequencies, liquid tissue simulants with closer tolerances to the published target values are available on request.
The IXE-600 ear design is based on the KEMAR ‘de-facto’ standard ears for audio testing (models R/L KB0065/66) with a fixing boss compatible with the KEMAR audio head mannequin. Ears could be interchanged between RF and audio head phantoms if required.
For ‘in-ear’ device testing a 1.8cm³ ear canal is provided.
