Description
IndexSAR have been manufacturing fluid tissue simulants for many years, in order to test their performance the company have developed techniques and custom tools to measure the fluid’s dielectric properties (permittivity and conductivity). By using a measurement technique based on a TEM line, which is absolute, measurement results have an improved uncertainty over the commonly used open coaxial probe method, which is relative. Over time fluids can change their dielectric properties due to a number of reasons, poor storage, contamination; container to container, evaporation etc. It is advisable to retest on a yearly basis if heavily used.
IndexSAR can offer a measurement service to test tissue simulant fluids either of IndexSAR or third party manufacture. The measurements are traceable and results supplied with a comprehensive report.
