Description
The IXE-600 series of phantom ears use pinnae based on the KEMAR ‘de-facto’ standard audio testing ears ( R/L models KB0065/66) with a fixing boss compatible with the KEMAR audio head mannequin to allow ears to be interchanged between RF and audio head phantoms if required.
For ‘in-ear’ device testing a 1.8cm³ an optional ear canal can be provided.
Custom versions are also available.
The IXE-600 ears are made from carbon loaded silicone and meet the target body dielectric properties as specified in the CTIA Over The Air Test Plan.
The IXB-038 SAM head is a derivative of the standard head phantom used in SAR and OTA wireless tests, with the stylised ‘flat’ ear removed. The head is formed of resin strengthened with glass matting and meets physical and the loss tangent requirements of the standards.
