Indexsar Block Hands offer next generation of testing capabilities
Head and hand phantoms are required for use in anechoic chambers (since they are small and repeatable)IndexSAR have worked closely with the CTIA ‘Head and hands’ working group to design the v 3,3 hand grips.
Those specified in CTIA and 3GPP conformance test specifications and have been designed to give losses similar to those of real users
However, the antenna impedance variation with the CTIA hands is much lower than in practice. Because of this, the performance variation experienced within networks is not well predicted using the existing CTIA hand phantoms.
The IXB-100x block hand allows easier modelling and an optional cover block gives antenna designers the ability to check hand impedance effects. Block hands give closer to the worst case and, with the addition of radio transparent sheet spacers, can be used to represent impedances from the best to the worst case
